I have met many women that have said that they knew 100% when they conceived because they physicaly felt "different" in their bellies directly after love making or within 24 hours of the act. I have know all three times without question! I am curiouse as to how many women actually have this phenomenon... please respond... I think it would be interesting to start a pole.

Re: Just out of curiousity...
Sun, May 18, 2008 - 10:05 PMI knew very quickly that I was pregnant and that it was a girl and very shortly after I was "told" her name was Anaya. It was like I had no choice in her name, Anaya was it. -

Re: Just out of curiousity...
Sun, May 18, 2008 - 10:07 PMOh and I was pregnant one other time but I miscarried. Both times my tests showed negative until 8+ weeks after conception. I still knew right on through. -

Re: Just out of curiousity...
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 8:06 AMMy pregnancy was unplanned and very unexpected (total wrong time in my cycle to be able to conceive) but i still knew at about 8 days post-conception, well before i missed a period. I waited several more days before taking a urine pregnancy test because they can give false negatives if you do 'em too early and it confirmed it. -

Re: Just out of curiousity...
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 4:16 PMmy hubby and I knew too that we were pregnant before taking a test or any medical verification. In fact, other people knew too. Before I knew for sure or told anyone, one day my boss looked at me and thought "she's pregnant". Also, my mom was cleaning her cat's litterbox and she thought, "hmm, vicky won't be able to do this when she's pregnant". Then, my sister was talking with a friend about pregnancy and somehow in the conversation she said to her friend "my sister hasn't been pregnant....or maybe she is".
All that happened in the first few weeks before they knew I was pregnant. My little boy was whispering in everyone's ear. -

Re: Just out of curiousity...
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 7:31 PMso funny...I knew right away...that evening...and I completely dismissed it.
We were in Venice on vacation and had decided to "try" when we got back...
so I thought, no, it couldn't be that easy.
Um...it was.
I was surprised when I tested positive...
but I remember that moment of knowing...and dismissing.
I Also knew she was a girl. Just knew...

Re: Just out of curiousity...
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 4:36 AMMy husband and I both knew...we had decided to have our first child together right before we made love. it was a very magical and siritual experience :) He was more confident that I was even, because people kept telling me I wasn't pregnant - although I knew deep down inside I was. I did not get the positive results from the doctor till after the second time, but it then showed I had been pregnant all along :)
Not sure if you meant physiologically, but I'd say yes to that also - I felt different and pregnant, though I had never really felt all that before. it was a very strange time. a blood test was detailed enough to show that indeed I was :) -

Re: Just out of curiousity...
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 9:38 AMI knew right away with both of mine. It's hard to describe other than I felt different. I also had a sense of their personalities. My oldest is very sensitive and I found that i could not do certain things when I was pregnant with her that exposed us to too much chaotic energy. My youngest is pretty laid back and I had the sense of her easygoing nature before she was born. -

Re: Just out of curiousity...
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 1:23 PMI knew almost right away both times, but was a bit in denial the first time. The second time was an intentional conception and there was an instant knowing, because we had actually known she was trying to come through for a long time before and we had been waiting until the right moment to give her that opportunity. Physically though I don't think I felt any different for at least a few weeks. But I am much more in my head and heart than my body unfortunately most of the time. I have heard others have felt it physically right away though.
